The story of Chiusa Grande Organic Farm started in the early ‘60s when Rocco D’Eusanio recognised a gap in the market in the Centre and South of Italy and started his company to grow and sell vines, which soon became the area’s go-to point for the wine sector.
While slowly growing the company through the purchase of some land in Pescara in the ‘70s, it was only in 1991 that the D’Eusanio family acquired the Chiusa Grande country estate and grew vines and organic vegetables in heated greenhouses. They then moved into production and in 1996 their first wine was made.
Today, Chiusa Grande is led by Franco D’Eusanio, son of Rocco, and Franco’s children Ilaria and young Rocco.
Together, from 60 hectares of vines, they make organic wines sold in 25 countries around the world.
