Umbria, “Green Heart of Italy”, crossroads between North and South, between the Adriatic and the Tyrrhenian seas, is an area where the vine has been cultivated since the Etruscan era.

To say Orvieto is to speak of the splendid walled town built by the Etruscans on a base of tufa and which became Roman as Urbs Vetus (old town), and also of the renowned Umbrian white wine of which Bigi has, for years, been one of the most prestigious producers.
