Rich, smooth and velvety; very approachable and versatile with food.
This is Masi's original Supervenetian from 1964 - recognised internationally as the creator of a new category for wines from the Veneto inspired by the technique of making Amarone.
Combining simplicity and grace with strength and majesty.
Campofiorin is universally recognised as a "wine of great depth and complexity, the prototype of a new style of Veronese red wine" (Burton Anderson); its production has been described by no less than Hugh Johnson as having an "ingenious technique".
Look: intense ruby red.
Nose: ripe cherries and sweet spices.
Palate: rich, intense cherries and berry fruit; good length and soft tannins.
Exceptionally versatile. Good with pasta dishes dressed with rich sauces (meat or mushrooms); full-blooded grilled or roast red meat, and game. Ideal with well-aged cheese.
