Nireus was the son of Poseidon, god of the Sea and Canace, his favorite daughter, who took her own life out of love. In fact, this Pinot Noir is the result of a love for the sea, obtained from vines planted on the hills of sand and lapilli that surround the grange of the Crapolla Abbey in front of a limitless horizon.
Amore di Mare for a vine from very different latitudes is a perfect inspiring principle of the philosophy that Abbazia di Crapolla has embraced in its wine adventure. A typical pale ruby precedes an offlation where it is highlighted how much the clay (traditional for this grape) has given way to lapilli: the spicy play phenotype of Pinot Noir is enriched here with further freshness and balsamicity: the glass also draws inspiration from it completely new tastes, which surprise every year with their qualitative evolution.
